it’s
late
and two
cheeky ghosts
frighten the household
with their noisy carryings-on
in the shadowy corner of the dusty parlor
and if you listen closely you’ll
hear Lady Day croon  
while the ghosts
get their
kicks
tonight

Linked to BJ’s Shadorma and Beyond at MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie, where Bastet has introduced us to the Fibonacci poem.  As in nature, a Fibonacci Sequence is a pattern of   0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55 … and so on.  [For the sake of this challenge we followed a pattern starting at 1 and ending at 13.  The numbers can refer to the syllables or to the number of words in each line.]

Bastet’s moody photo is our inspiration for this week.  I saw ghosts — but with the warm colors — they’re happy ghosts.  🙂
