unstrung haiga

Lyrics translated :: Dingsaller

unstrung
our bows are dangerous
aimless

Linked to Carpe Diem #700: Govinda (the bow of Arjuna the archer).  Our host Chèvrefeuille wrote a very intense, very detailed prompt for today.  Rather than repeat it here, I urge you to read it in its original form.

Here are our host’s inspired haiku:

don’t hide your light
let it shine bright without regret –
Lotus will bloom again

narcissus bloom
shining their light on our path –
He has risen

(c) Chèvrefeuille

  1. You were certainly on a heck of a roll, haiga-wise, back in April! Again it’s a beautiful visual piece, and then the words – they seem so straightforward at first but then, as I peer into them, the meaning starts to become harder to pin down until the attempt makes me a little giddy 🙂

    • Thank you! And here it is, September, with 30 Days of Haiga — and I’ve completed so few haiga! Alas.
I really like this one — very glad that you found so many layers to explore here! 🙂
Trivia: one of Henry Rollins’ tattoos is the symbol for Einstürzende Neubauten.
(The logo in the video.) And Blixa Bargeld (of E.N.) used to perform with Nick Cave. Sweet, right? 🙂

      • I knew that Blixa Bargeld played with NC – have you seen the NC film, 10,000 days? I think they chat in that.

But I didn’t know about HR’s tattoo – must be a big fan, I take it?

        • Oh, that’s right — I forgot about the film — I’ve seen bits of it on YouTube but not the whole thing.
Yes, HR must be a huge fan! Kind of makes sense though — there’s an edge about EN’s work — very gritty and real. 🙂
