The previous article, “An Introduction to Haibun” discussed haibun as envisioned by its creator, Matsuo Basho. This newest article uses two “invented haibun” (fantasy and metaphor) to demonstrate how the guidelines may be relaxed and still create an effective piece of writing.  

As soon as you utilize fantasy and metaphor in haibun you run the risk of rejection – but – I have to question that outlook.
