thoughts of autumn –
in eddies, old leaves
[swirling – swirling]

thoughts of autumn
gasping
at water’s edge

in eddies, old leaves
that dodge my grasp –
outrunning time

[swirling – swirling]
of leaf & time & of myself
who is the traveler?

Georgia’s Autumn Reflections

autumn reflections
as I cross the sun warmed bridge
geese fly south

autumn reflections
old man contemplates winter
under the hot sun

as I cross the sun warmed bridge
ducks laugh downstream
– diving for trout

geese fly south
the noisy swallows have gone
but the blackbird sings

  1. This is both elegant and profound .. I love how you ended the troiku … indeed … who is the traveller. That video is fascinating, I’ve never heard this fantastic combo – sounds Celtic-Japanese!
